About the Role
BMW Group is offering an exciting opportunity for a Master's thesis in the area of AI-based generation of 3D environment models from raw sensor data. As part of the simulation and statistical validation team for automated and autonomous driving, you will support the development of state-of-the-art methods and processes for environment modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate AI-based methods for creating 3D environment models from raw sensor data.
- Evaluate the state of the art of available methods for deriving 3D geometries and their semantic segmentation.
- Implement initial solutions for reference scenarios based on promising methods.
- Evaluate results using ground truth information and develop automated processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Knowledge of artificial intelligence and computer graphics.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages.
- Interest in robotics and automated driving.
