Overview
Virtusa is seeking a skilled Java Fullstack Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Houston, Texas. This role is ideal for a developer with strong backend development experience and a passion for building robust, scalable applications. You will be working in a hybrid environment, combining both on-site and remote work, to deliver cutting-edge solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Backend Development: Utilize your expertise in Core Java & EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security to develop and maintain backend systems.
- CI/CD Implementation: Work with CI/CD tools and processes including GIT/Bitbucket, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, and Sonar. Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash and PowerShell is essential.
- Frontend Development: Knowledge of React or Angular is required to assist in building user interfaces.
- Microservices Architecture: Design and implement microservices and layered (SOA/MVC) architecture.
- API Development: Build REST APIs using Java Spring Boot and Spring MVC. Experience in writing enterprise-level REST/SOAP services is crucial.
- Database Management: Work with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS or similar private/public cloud platforms.
- Containerization: Create and maintain containers using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Infrastructure as Code: Knowledge of Terraform is preferred.
- Messaging Frameworks: Familiarity with messaging frameworks like MQ and Kafka.
- Security Protocols: Understanding of OIDC and OAuth 2.0 implementation is a plus.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of OOP concepts and design patterns.
- Experience in continuous delivery principles.
- Preferred knowledge of JPMC infrastructure and frameworks like Photon.
