Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Java Fullstack Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Tampa, Florida. As a Java Fullstack Developer at Virtusa, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Development: Develop and maintain scalable and robust Java-based applications using Spring Boot and other frameworks.
- Cloud Integration: Utilize AWS cloud services to enhance application performance and scalability.
- Microservices Architecture: Implement microservices to provide dedicated business functions.
- Database Management: Work with various databases including Oracle, Cassandra, NoSQL, and MongoDB to ensure data integrity and performance.
- Front-end Development: Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate Angular and React components.
- Containerization: Use Docker for containerization and deployment of applications.
- Application Servers: Manage and configure application servers such as Tomcat and Websphere.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, QA, and product teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Familiarity with Docker, Tomcat, and Websphere.
- Knowledge of Kafka and microservices architecture.
- Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular and React.
- Strong understanding of databases such as Oracle, Cassandra, NoSQL, and MongoDB.
- Programming experience in C#, Python, and Scala is a plus.
- Experience with Hadoop for analytics is desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer or similar role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
