Java Fullstack Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Java Fullstack Developer to join our dynamic engineering team in Tampa, Florida. As a Java Fullstack Developer at Virtusa, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Development: Develop and maintain scalable and robust Java-based applications using Spring Boot and other frameworks.
Cloud Integration: Utilize AWS cloud services to enhance application performance and scalability.
Microservices Architecture: Implement microservices to provide dedicated business functions.
Database Management: Work with various databases including Oracle, Cassandra, NoSQL, and MongoDB to ensure data integrity and performance.
Front-end Development: Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate Angular and React components.
Containerization: Use Docker for containerization and deployment of applications.
Application Servers: Manage and configure application servers such as Tomcat and Websphere.
Collaboration: Work closely with other developers, QA, and product teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions.

Required Skills

Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
Experience with AWS cloud services.
Familiarity with Docker, Tomcat, and Websphere.
Knowledge of Kafka and microservices architecture.
Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular and React.
Strong understanding of databases such as Oracle, Cassandra, NoSQL, and MongoDB.
Programming experience in C#, Python, and Scala is a plus.
Experience with Hadoop for analytics is desirable.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer or similar role.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
