About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Junior Backend Developer to join our Business Technology Platform (BTP) ABAP team in Brno. This role is perfect for someone eager to embark on an exciting journey to create, maintain, and support high-quality core technology components. You will be part of a diverse and agile scrum team, collaborating with passionate and engaged co-developers.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the SOAP Web Services Framework within ABAP onPrem and ABAP Cloud Environment.
• Delve into the intricacies of the ABAP SOAP runtime, which relies on official standards like SOAP 1.1, SOAP 1.2, and WS-RM.
• Maintain and improve tools for monitoring and lifecycle management of (asynchronous) SOAP messages.
• Contribute to the ABAP proxy framework and their runtime configuration.
• Collaborate closely with teams in Brno and Walldorf (Germany) to ensure alignment with quality standards and objectives.

What You Bring

• University degree in computer science, natural sciences, engineering, or similar.
• Knowledge in an object-oriented programming language.
• A sense for mastering complexity: Abstract and analytical thinking plus structuring and problem-solving skills.
• Team spirit: Work collaboratively with open and trustful communication.
• Fluency in Czech and English – written and verbal.

Beneficial Skills

• First experience with ABAP, GO, or JavaScript (e.g., Node.js framework).
• First experience with SQL and databases.
• SOAP protocol knowledge.
