About the Role
SAP is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to join our dynamic team in Sofia, Bulgaria. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a crucial role in developing cloud-based solutions that power our mobile and web frontend applications. You will be part of the Intelligent Enterprise Solutions (IES) organization, which is responsible for implementing and running SAP’s standard software portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop server-side components and systems to enhance productivity and efficiency for SAP employees.
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code with a focus on data privacy and security.
- Design and implement system architectures running on cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and other team members in an agile environment.
- Guide and mentor junior team members, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of experience in backend development using Node.js and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of the system development lifecycle (SDLC) for cloud-based applications.
- Experience with RESTful client-backend architecture in web and mobile contexts.
- Proficiency in database design and system responsiveness.
- Experience with authorization and API management through a PaaS.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience with Java backend development is a plus.
