Junior Software Developer - Python/Rust

Job Overview

Join SAP as a Junior Software Developer and be part of a team that is revolutionizing the tech industry. In this role, you will contribute to the development of a cloud-native task execution platform, which is crucial for the continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) of SAP HANA, supporting over 1,500 developers.

Responsibilities

Develop and operate a large-scale distributed platform.
Utilize container orchestration, powered by substantial hardware resources running Linux across data centers and public clouds.
Maintain a cloud-first mindset and apply infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
Incorporate automation at scale.
Collaborate effectively with peers and teams globally.
Provide insightful and constructive code reviews.
Commit to ongoing learning and professional development.

Qualifications

University degree in computer science or a related technical field.
Experience with Python and/or Rust programming languages.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
Knowledge of containerization and container orchestration.
Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS/GCP is a plus).
Proficiency in version control systems.
Fluency in German and English, both verbal and written.
