About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior Backend Developer to join our Business Technology Platform team at SAP. This role is perfect for someone eager to embark on an exciting journey to create, maintain, and support high-quality core technology components. You will be part of the ABAP Kernel Brno team, responsible for key infrastructure components delivered with the ABAP Kernel, essential for operating and monitoring the ABAP platform efficiently, especially in cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a diverse and agile scrum team to develop and maintain core technology components.
- Engage in the complete product lifecycle, ensuring components meet quality standards and objectives.
- Work closely with teams in Brno and Walldorf, Germany, to deliver mission-critical implementations.
- Utilize agile software engineering methods and maintain close contact with customers and stakeholders for early feedback.
What You Bring
- A university degree in computer science, natural sciences, engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language, preferably ABAP or C++.
- Strong abstract and analytical thinking, structuring, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with fluency in both Czech and English.
