The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our CODE (Consumer Digital Experience) Focus Area, specifically the Partner Content team, based in Portugal. Our team is responsible for ensuring that our subscribers have an exceptional experience when interacting with our partners. This involves building, updating, and maintaining all partnership information, including logos, company details, and activities.

Your Impact

• Collaborate within an agile, full-stack engineering team to define system architectures and integrations.
• Innovate and ensure design documentation is current.
• Enhance existing systems to improve functionality, scalability, and adaptability to meet product demands.
• Participate in incident resolution and troubleshooting in production environments, and contribute to post-mortem analyses.
• Mentor and support other developers.
• Work with cutting-edge technologies on a global scale.
• Uphold engineering and product KPIs.
• Promote a culture of wellbeing and work-life balance within the team.

Who You Are

• A seasoned engineer with a bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Experienced in designing and developing modern web applications.
• Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, Kotlin, or Golang, with a preference for Golang and Kotlin.
• Skilled in SQL and NoSQL technologies, including PostgreSQL and Redis.
• Knowledgeable in solid architecture principles, including event-driven and serverless architectures.
• Open to new experiences and eager to learn and grow.
• Possess strong communication skills to work with diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
• Advocate for automation in testing, CI/CD, and other processes.
• Fluent in English at an intermediate or advanced level.
