The Opportunity

We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Platform team in Portugal. In this role, you will oversee multiple squads of multidisciplinary software engineers, serving as a technical reference and leader. You will be responsible for coding key features, performing pull request reviews, and leading architectural decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in the development of critical services, focusing on long-term and sustainable solutions.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve services with an emphasis on performance, scalability, and resilience.
Build integrations with third-party APIs and tools.
Support existing systems to enhance functionality and scale.
Maintain the project’s technical vision and ensure it is up-to-date and comprehensive.
Work with cutting-edge technologies on a global scale.
Inspire and empower others by prioritizing wellbeing and creating a supportive work environment.

Who You Are

Experienced in mentoring multidisciplinary teams of software engineers.
Skilled in architecting large-scale, multi-tier web applications.
Proficient in cloud-based architectures (AWS/GCP).
Experienced in developing RESTful web services and collaborating with front-end teams.
Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms.
Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, Ruby, Go, C++, with Golang being a plus.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse teams across different cultures.
