Role Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will have a key role in developing our product and its unique features, working closely with our Product team. You should be passionate about software engineering and building a product end-to-end. You will be responsible for owning the dev cycle from the technical design, through coding and testing, to deployment and monitoring. We work in a true continuous delivery environment with fully automated QA processes on a microservices architecture, deploying to production dozens of times every day.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services and APIs.
- Work with relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Apply testing methodologies including unit-testing, TDD, and mocking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development and deployment processes.
Requirements
- Professional experience as a software engineer, with a strong emphasis on backend development.
- Excellent knowledge of software design and scalable architecture.
- Experience with Go or Kotlin is a big plus.
- Experience with AWS or an equivalent cloud platform is highly desirable.
- Independent, fast learner, and excited about learning new technologies.
- Proactive team player with a desire to impact our team, our product, and our customers.
