Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer in Localization & Mapping, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for developing critical components of our automated driving technology. This role involves working on complex problems in localization, mapping, and SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), which are crucial for the accurate positioning and navigation of autonomous vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of expert software engineers and roboticists to develop scalable solutions from the lab to the customer.
- Architect, design, and implement state-of-the-art solutions for onboard localization and offline mapping at large scales.
- Develop production-quality, high-performance software in a fast-paced, autonomous environment while maintaining a strong safety culture.
- Communicate design decisions, implementation improvements, and project progress within your team and across the organization.
- Write automated tests and metrics to improve and validate performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in localization, mapping, SLAM, and geometric computer vision.
- Significant experience in C++ software development.
- Experience in Python software development is a plus.
