Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Engineer to join our team and partner with Sales Executives in pursuing opportunities, including renewals, upsells, and new logos. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical expertise in B2B Enterprise SaaS sales and play a pivotal role in positioning all Smarsh products in the field, progressing sales cycles to a technical win.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal Qualification: Assist account executives in rapidly comparing customer needs with the capabilities of our products and services.
  • Sales Team Support: Lead the sales team response to customer RFPs and due diligence assessments, including cloud, architecture, product, and infosec.
  • Customer Engagement: Lead customer meetings to discover and document detailed business requirements necessary for product selection, solution design, and drafting early-stage commercial quotes.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with solution architects to design and finalize solutions and manage proof of value engagements, such as POCs.
  • Sales Strategy: Work with account executives on deal strategy, tasks, deliverables, and milestones across the sales lifecycle.
  • Product Expertise: Exhibit the highest level of knowledge and competence on Smarsh products, the underlying technology stack, the AWS cloud environment, and our target market.
  • Presentations and Demonstrations: Prepare sales presentations and bespoke product demonstrations that address customer-specific requirements and pain points while highlighting Smarsh product differentiators and ROI.
  • Competitive Analysis: Learn the capabilities and positioning of other vendor solutions to assist in selling against the competition and obtain the "technical win" during the solution validation stage of the sales process.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 7+ years of technical presales experience in a B2B SaaS company, preferably leveraging public cloud (AWS preferred), and 5+ years selling to large enterprises, preferably in regulated financial services.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent educational experience.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with AI/ML technologies, especially Natural Language Processing, is ideal. Demo 2 Win certification is desirable.
  • Project Management: Foundational project management skills.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to maintain a positive attitude, handle high-pressure work environments, and exhibit strong problem-solving, project planning, and communication skills.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary Range: €140,000 - €190,000 per year.
