About the Role
Join the AI team at Clay as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer. You will be responsible for leading the development of ML-powered features and building the underlying models that drive our innovative product. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of ML applications within the GTM industry.
Responsibilities
- Identify ML Opportunities: Work closely with the design team to identify where machine learning can enhance our product and bring these visions to life.
- Model Development: Prototype and productionize models that power ML experiences, ensuring they are robust and scalable.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the Product Engineering team to integrate models into the product. If interested, you can also engage in full-stack engineering to alter the product experience.
- Knowledge Sharing: Share your expertise in ML use cases to enable other teams to build ML-powered features using the models you’ve deployed.
- Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain data pipelines that feed into your ML systems.
Requirements
- Experience: 4+ years of experience in machine learning, with a strong bias towards shipping and learning while maintaining a high-quality bar.
- Product Intuition: Ability to think broadly and cross-functionally about innovative ML product experiences.
- Technical Skills: Experience in NLP and information retrieval, building and deploying models in user-facing production settings.
- Research and Execution: Ability to scope and timebox research problems and execute findings via concrete product plans.
- Technical Breadth: Experience with classical statistical ML models, deep neural networks, and optionally, LLMs.

- Extensive experience with Python or Typescript.

- Enrichment Recommendation System: Develop systems to find the most successful path for data enrichment.
- Search and Re-ranking: Improve semantic search and re-ranking of results.
- Scoring Systems: Develop lead scoring and data confidence systems.
