Porsche AG is seeking a motivated and talented student to undertake a master thesis focused on applying machine learning techniques to evaluate vehicle safety systems. This position is based in Weissach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
The primary focus of this thesis is to identify causal relationships between restraint system variables and injury outcomes. This involves:
- Conducting a literature review on the current state of technology.
- Preparing data through clustering and setting up input data for stochastic analysis.
- Implementing and executing machine learning methods for data analysis.
- Logically identifying and evaluating causal relationships.
- Preparing, conducting, and evaluating sled tests in a vehicle environment if necessary.
- Compiling a scientific thesis based on the findings.
Requirements
- Education: Enrolled in a degree program in engineering, computer science, or a related field with a focus on automotive engineering, programming, FE-simulation, or biomechanics.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of FE-simulation methods, vehicle safety, and injury assessment. Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python.
- Languages: Proficiency in German and English.
- Soft Skills: Strong team and communication skills, with an independent and structured approach to work.
