About the Role
Moss is seeking a talented Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join our Growth Tribe in Berlin. As a key member of our team, you will be instrumental in designing and developing tools and automations that enhance transparency and control over company spending. This role involves close collaboration with designers, product managers, and frontend engineers to bring innovative ideas to life and ensure our product meets high usability and performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Backend Development: Lead the development of the application, ensuring alignment with product requirements and performance standards. Provide regular updates to product managers and designers.
- Collaborative Planning: Engage with product managers and designers during project kick-offs to understand the vision and user needs. Offer insights to refine UI/UX concepts and backend development plans.
- Frontend Collaboration: Work closely with frontend engineers to define necessary APIs and functionality, ensuring smooth integration between frontend and backend components.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Commit to producing well-tested and reliable code by writing unit and functional tests.
- Rollout and Performance Monitoring: Work with product managers on efficient rollout strategies for new features and monitor performance to identify and address potential issues.
About You
- Experience: Proven background as a Backend Engineer with expertise in Java and Spring framework. Familiarity with microservices, message queues, and Rest API design principles.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Skills: Strong testing skills, including unit and integration testing. Fluent in English.
- Attributes: Pragmatic, delivery-focused, collaborative communicator, inquisitive mindset, and a strong team player.
