The Role
As a Principal Infrastructure Engineer at Paradigm, you will be a core member of our infrastructure team, responsible for building and maintaining major features from inception to launch. You will work closely with product and engineering teams across the company, focusing on delivering value to customers while managing site reliability and security.
Responsibilities
- Own the site reliability process and systems from design to maintenance
- Educate the team on reliability best practices
- Provide service outage escalation response
- Manage multiple Kubernetes clusters across various environments
- Build core services and infrastructure for the engineering organization
- Lead projects and collaborate with senior management to prioritize engineering tasks
Skills and Experience
- Expertise in Security and DevSecOps
- Strong compliance knowledge, including SOC 2
- Experience in site reliability engineering in demanding environments
- Proficiency with AWS and Kubernetes
- Leadership experience in team and project management
- Familiarity with additional cloud providers like Azure and GCP is a plus
Extra Credit
- Experience with low-latency databases or high-volume trading applications
- Familiarity with HashiCorp tools, Kafka, Redis, and Postgres
