As a Senior Backend Developer in the Data Domain Team at PostNL, you will play a crucial role in creating valuable data products. Your work will involve understanding the needs of our consumers and building multiple integration patterns to fulfill those needs. Your reusable solutions will enable multiple internal consumers to add millions of business value.

Your Role

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be part of the Data Domain Team, building solutions that ensure PostNL has all data available on Roll Container movements and Transport Services. You will understand our consumers' data needs and provide integration patterns that suit their use cases, such as real-time events for platform teams or data marts for BI and analytics. Our final deliverable is a data product. This way of working is new to PostNL, so you will help set standards, develop best practices, and enable and support other teams to apply the same way of working.

Your Coworkers

You will work in a joint team consisting of two sister teams focusing on the Roll Container domain and Transport Services. Together, you will apply the same technology to build similar solutions. The joint team consists of a Data Product Owner, two Solution Consultants, a Lead Engineer, and three other Backend Developers. You will also work closely with engineers from other platform teams that consume our data products.

Technologies Used

• Programming in TypeScript
• Deploying and running on an AWS Serverless infrastructure
• Using modern technologies like CDK, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB, Postgres, Step Functions, and API Gateways.

What You Bring

• About 3 to 5 years of experience as a Backend Developer, with experience in TypeScript, GraphQL, and AWS Serverless.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• An outside-in mindset and a desire to create products that are valuable for our consumers.
