Role Overview

As a backend developer, you will play a crucial role in rebuilding the backend of our Credit Care product. Your tasks will include developing Lambda functions to handle specific features behind the API as microservices, or building API consumers for accounting packages used by our clients.

You are an engineer at heart, capable of making independent decisions to devise the best solutions for the problems you tackle. You communicate transparently about your choices and collaborate with colleagues, such as the tech lead, to explore better solutions within the current architecture.

Our Technology Stack

We utilize a modern cloud-native stack, effectively leveraging cloud services to avoid reinventing the wheel. Our frontends are built in Angular and hosted on AWS using Docker containers in ECS. The backend is accessed via a GraphQL API built on AWS AppSync, with data stored in a NoSQL database accessed through Lambdas. Infrastructure-as-code is written in Python using CDK, creating a serverless, cloud-native, and data-driven SaaS application.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in backend development in a professional setting.
• Experience building REST or GraphQL APIs.
• Experience consuming SOAP, REST, or GraphQL APIs.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS Lambda.
• Familiarity with APIs in the financial sector, such as those from popular accounting packages.
• Experience with AWS services like DynamoDB, AppSync, or Cognito.
• Experience with SOAP APIs.
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience in the financial sector.
