Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our team at Basetime BV in Houten, Netherlands. This role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions within an AWS infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to bring and implement new ideas, contributing directly to the strategic insights and operational efficiency of our company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Develop AWS Solutions: Focus on designing, developing, and maintaining our AWS environment based on client needs.
- Data Management: Manage data storage in databases and S3 buckets, build containers for applications, and develop high-quality databases and datasets.
- Software Development: Work with a tech stack that includes Frontend (Angular and Typescript) and Backend (Python).
- Database Management: Focus on SQL databases and Postgres, writing efficient SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis.
- Security and Optimization: Ensure robust data security and optimize database performance.
- Containerization: Implement microservices architectures and manage containerization using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
Daily Interactions
You will collaborate with team members such as Tim (developer), Julia (support), and Eltjo (technical) to address client needs and may directly interact with end-users to resolve ongoing issues.
Ideal Candidate
- Experience: 5 years in software development within an AWS environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Python, AWS, SQL, Postgres, Angular, Typescript, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Education: HBO in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering).
- Languages: Fluent in Dutch and English.
- Teamwork: Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and ability to empathize with client needs.
What We Offer
- Salary: €3,500 to €5,000 per month based on experience and education.
- Benefits: 8% holiday allowance, hybrid working model, 28 vacation days, travel allowance, company laptop and phone.
- Contract: 7-month contract with the possibility of a permanent position.
