About the Role
Nisum is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer to join our team in Johns Creek, GA. As a leading global digital commerce firm, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions to our clients. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies to develop robust backend systems that support our clients' digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Java, Spring Boot, and other related technologies.
- Solve complex technical problems using best practices and innovative solutions.
- Propose and implement different solutions to technical challenges, showcasing the benefits of each approach.
- Ensure that all aspects of technical design are correctly incorporated into the development process.
- Contribute technical expertise to various projects and participate in research and proof of concept (POC) initiatives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development.
- Proficiency in Java microservices, particularly Java 8 and Spring Boot.
- Experience with messaging systems, preferably Kafka.
- Familiarity with Pivotal Cloud Foundry or Azure.
- Strong understanding of SOA, REST services, and Spring frameworks.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MariaDB, MongoDB, or Cosmos DB.
- Passion for new technology, open source, and continuous skill development.
- Experience with version control systems like GIT or SVN.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide creative solutions.
- Excellent communication skills and a team player.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Applications, or a related field.
