About the Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Archive, you will:

Collaborate closely with front-end engineers to deliver core product features, managing everything from database administration to GraphQL action handlers and third-party integrations like Shopify apps and Stripe implementations.
Design and implement systems for integrating brand data from diverse APIs, platforms, and data formats.
Develop metrics and checks for production data pipelines, ensuring data quality and observability for our marketplace.
Engage early with fashion brands to facilitate onboarding alongside our brand success team.
Provide data and analytical support for brand growth initiatives.

Skills and Experience

Proven experience in building and deploying performant, scalable services.
Ability to manage complex data and integrate it into existing frameworks.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Typescript.
Hands-on experience with SQL; analytical SQL experience is a plus.
Experience with data orchestration frameworks like Dagster, Airflow, or Luigi.
Bonus: Experience in eCommerce, marketplace, or multi-tenant platform development.
Bonus: Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Bonus: Prior experience in a technical, customer-facing role.

Compensation and Benefits

The expected annual base salary range for this position is €175,000 - €225,000.
In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible for equity.
Archive is a Series A startup backed by top-tier investors, including Lightspeed and Bain Capital.
We offer a remote-first work environment with a hub office in NY and optional in-person work for those in the area.
We host company offsites twice a year to bring the full team together.
