Job Overview
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Deel, you will be part of a cross-functional team that includes Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers, and QA’s. You will participate in product planning from discovery all the way to deployment, ensuring that our customers receive a white-glove experience with our products.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to develop robust new features and APIs.
- Continuously improve our industry-leading products and find and fix any bugs at Deel Speed.
- Ensure our customers receive a white-glove experience with our products.
Required Skills and Experience
- Expert knowledge of Node.js and at least one other server-side language (preferably Go).
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript syntax.
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, mainly PostgreSQL and ORM libraries such as Sequelize.
- Experience with AWS Services such as S3, EKS, SNS, and SQS.
- Experience with serverless app architecture on AWS.
- At least 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
- Ability to advise on best practices and be a thought leader in your field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Production experience with Go-lang.
- Experience with SaaS products running 24/7 on a major cloud vendor.
- Experience working in distributed teams and thriving in a remote work environment.
- Knowledge of the dynamic world of FinTech.
