About the Role

Fireflies.ai is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Growth Team. This is a remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within your respective country. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our business by developing technology that enhances our product, sales, and marketing efforts through experimentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Impact Millions of Users: Directly contribute to the growth of our user base by developing scalable and reliable backend solutions.
• Drive Business Goals: Use experiments and metric-driven software development to achieve business objectives.

• Full-Stack Development: Engage in both backend and frontend development to build comprehensive solutions that support our growth initiatives.

What You Need

• Experience: At least 3+ years in a software development role, preferably as a full-stack engineer.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Node.js (TypeScript), MongoDB, and Next.js. Experience with event-driven architectures using pub-sub and deployment on GCP with Kubernetes.
• Problem Solving: Ability to develop creative solutions and improvise to achieve goals.
• Scalability: Experience in building applications that support 10,000+ concurrent users.
• User-Centric: Ability to empathize with users and translate insights into features that enhance user engagement.

Nice-to-Haves

• Start-Up Experience: Previous experience as a technical co-founder or in a growth engineering role.
• Data Analytics: Understanding of tools for data analytics, marketing automation, and personalization.
