Job Overview
Join SAP as a Senior Backend Engineer in the SAP Signavio - Modeling & Consumption Group. This role is based in Berlin, Germany, and offers a hybrid working environment. You will be part of a cross-functional team responsible for the SAP Signavio Process Manager, focusing on business process modeling and simulation software.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to system architecture and design discussions.
- Write, test, and maintain backend code, implementing robust and scalable solutions.
- Lead by example through hands-on coding and code reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of backend services.
- Work in an agile development environment, participating in sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Identify and implement improvements to current products and team processes.
- Work with the Product Owner and Tech Lead to define technical commitments and requirements.
Required Skills and Experience
- A master's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with a focus on scalable systems.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with NoSQL or SQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud technologies.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Fluent in English.
