Senior DevOps Platform Engineer with Kubernetes

Join SAP as a Senior DevOps Platform Engineer and play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of our Business Technology Platform. This position is based in Sofia, Bulgaria, and offers a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work both on-site and off-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Lead infrastructure bootstrapping in Cloud Foundry environments using Kubernetes and BOSH.
- IaaS Services: Adopt and implement IaaS services to meet client needs, focusing on AWS, GCP, Azure, Alibaba, and OpenStack.
- System Improvements: Enhance existing infrastructure components with a focus on availability, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Incident Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to infrastructure components efficiently.
- Automation and CI/CD: Develop and improve Continuous Delivery infrastructure using Jenkins, Concourse, and GitHub.
- Monitoring and Observability: Deploy and utilize monitoring tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, and Prometheus to ensure system observability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with global teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of infrastructure services.
Required Skills and Experience
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Cloud Architecture: Strong understanding of modern cloud architectures.
- Programming: Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash), Python, Ruby, or Go.
- Source Control: Experience with Git for source control management.
- Networking: Solid knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing.
- Kubernetes and Containers: Experience with Kubernetes and containerized microservices in production environments.
- CI/CD and Automation: Familiarity with CI/CD best practices and tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
- Linux/Unix Systems: At least 3 years of experience working with Linux/Unix-based systems.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana and Elastic Stack.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- ArgoCD: Hands-on experience with ArgoCD.
- Crossplane: Knowledge and experience with Crossplane.
- Istio: Understanding and experience with Istio is a plus.
