At Desquared, we are dedicated to creating the world's most loved digital products. We are looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves architecting, designing, and developing efficient, scalable, and reliable backend systems.
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and develop backend systems that are efficient, scalable, and reliable.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop excellent user experiences.
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
- Manage and operate the solutions you develop, ensuring optimal performance in production.
- Support and mentor other team members.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and adopt new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and learning abilities.
- At least 2 years of industry experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Node.js (JavaScript or TypeScript), or other server-side technologies.
- Strong background in non-relational database systems, such as MongoDB or Redis.
- Experience in designing REST APIs.
- Understanding of security principles as they apply to backend systems.
- Strong background in Computer Science.
- Bonus: Experience with cloud-hosting platforms, such as Heroku or AWS.
- Bonus: Experience in leading small to medium-sized teams.
- Bonus: Experience with performance monitoring tools, such as New Relic or Datadog.
- Bonus: Familiarity with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
