Join TIDAL's dynamic team as a Senior Backend Software Engineer focused on the Artist Platform. TIDAL, a part of Block, Inc., is a leading streaming platform founded by artists for artists, aiming to bring value back to the music industry. Responsibilities

• Architect and Develop: Design modern, scalable backend solutions that are testable, performant, and easy to maintain.
• Research and Innovate: Stay at the forefront of technology by researching and testing the latest technologies, and contribute to how these are applied across our domain.
• Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Front-End, and other Backend teams, to deliver new products focused on empowering musicians.
• Optimize: Analyze and implement technical improvements and performance optimizations.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in architecting and developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
• Technical Skills: Strong programming skills with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot and Micronaut. Experience building REST APIs and working with serverless technologies.
• Tools and Technologies: Proficiency in AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM, etc.), Terraform, and DataDog. Familiarity with other programming languages like Python, Go, or Rust is a plus.
• Collaboration: Strong cross-functional skills; self-driven yet thrives in a team environment.

Work Environment

• Global and Remote: While TIDAL's development teams are based in Oslo, Norway, many team members work remotely from various locations in Europe and the US. Enjoy permanent flexible work locations with no mandatory office presence and the opportunity to work up to 45 days/year from other approved countries.

Compensation

• Salary Range: Depending on your location, the salary ranges from €139,000 to €245,400 annually.
• Equity: Eligible to participate in Block's equity plan.
