Senior Backend Software Engineer - Artist Platform

Job Description

Join TIDAL's Artist Engineering team as a Senior Backend Software Engineer. We are dedicated to discovering, creating, building, and shipping products for artists. Our mission is to provide artists with better, more effective tools that help them save time, energy, and money, allowing them to focus on their music.

Responsibilities

• Architect modern, scalable backend solutions that are testable, performant, and easy to maintain.
• Research and test the latest technologies, contributing to how our team applies new technologies across our domain.
• Collaborate closely with other teams, including Product, Front-End, and other Backend teams across multiple disciplines.
• Work cross-functionally on a new product focused on empowering musicians with tools to aid in their artistic journey.
• Analyze and implement technical improvements and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with architecting and developing scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
• Strong programming skills with Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Micronaut, etc.).
• Extensive experience building REST APIs.
• Experience with serverless technologies.
• Proficiency in tools and technology such as AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, IAM, etc.), Terraform, and DataDog.
• Experience with other programming languages such as Python, Go, or Rust.
• Strong collaboration and cross-functional skills; self-driven, yet thrives in a team environment.

• Global and Remote: TIDAL's development teams are based in Oslo, Norway, but many of our new colleagues are remote, mostly from other European countries and the US.
• Flexible Work Locations: Permanent flexible work locations with no mandatory office presence.

• Zone A: USD $163,600 - USD $245,400
• Zone B: USD $155,400 - USD $233,200
• Zone C: USD $147,300 - USD $220,900
• Zone D: USD $139,000 - USD $208,600
