About the Role
Spotify is seeking a Backend Engineer to join our Personalization team in New York. This role is pivotal in creating systems that tailor music and podcast recommendations to individual tastes, enhancing user experience across our platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineers, Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Designers to innovate and implement new features.
- Write clean, maintainable code and perform code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Who You Are
- Experienced in backend development, particularly with Java.
- Skilled in problem-solving and communication, able to articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Passionate about continuous learning and improvement.
- Familiar with data engineering and infrastructure technologies.
Where You'll Work
This position is based in New York, NY, with a preference for candidates in the Eastern Standard Time zone. Remote work options are available, aligning with team collaboration hours.
