Join Coinbase as a Senior Backend Software Engineer

This team is responsible for building the next generation of crypto-forward products and features, solving unique, large-scale, and highly complex technical problems.
About the Role
As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will:
- Build New Services: Develop new services to meet critical product and business needs using Golang.
- Design Scalable Systems: Solve novel problems with modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
- Write High-Quality Code: Ensure your code is well-tested and meets the needs of your customers.
What We Look For
- Experience: At least 2+ years in software engineering, with experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Golang, and experience with Docker, Ruby, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redshift.
- Passion for Crypto: A strong interest in building an open financial system that brings the world together.
Nice to Haves
- Experience with blockchains such as Bitcoin or Ethereum.
- Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices.
- Experience in building financial, high reliability, or security systems.
