What You'll Be Doing

• Decompose our monolithic Rails app into microservices.
• Articulate a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling our backend systems.
• Work with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to turn our product and technical vision into a tangible roadmap every quarter.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of your customers.

What We Look For In You

• At least 2+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services.
• Ability to compose a service-oriented architecture.
• Passionate about building an open financial system that brings the world together.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with rapid growth in a company (from startup to mid-size).
• Experience building growth experiments or A/B tests.
• Experience with Blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.).
• Experience decomposing a large monolith into microservices.
• Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres, MongoDB, or Redshift.
• Experience building financial, high reliability, or security systems.

Pay Transparency Notice

Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range from $147,000 to $174,000 USD. Full-time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus, target equity, and benefits (including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
