Job Overview
DuckDuckGo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team focused on developing a Windows Desktop App. This role is pivotal in launching our first-ever privacy app for Windows, designed to enhance user privacy while browsing, searching, and managing online activities.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to develop a world-class browser with embedded privacy features.
- Take ownership of significant application features from conception to deployment.
- Participate in technical architecture discussions, shaping the software architecture of our consumer products.
- Implement and maintain features using C#, .NET, and other relevant technologies.
- Experiment with and optimize user interface and experience.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in desktop application development, particularly with WPF, UWP, WinUI, or WinForms.
- Advanced programming skills in C# and familiarity with .NET 6.
- Deep understanding of software design patterns like MVVM and MVP.
- Experience with event-driven programming, preferably using Rx.NET.
