Overview
Meridian Energy, New Zealand's largest electricity generator, is seeking a Senior Data Product Owner to join our team in Wellington. This role is pivotal in leveraging data to drive business outcomes and maintain our leadership in the renewable energy sector.
Role Responsibilities
- Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and maintain the product vision and roadmap, aligning with the company's strategic goals.
- Data Governance: Ensure compliance with data governance frameworks and oversee data quality.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with Data Architects, ICT leads, and business stakeholders to prioritize and evaluate work.
- AI and ML Implementation: Lead the development and execution of data products using AI and ML to innovate and deliver value.
- Lifecycle Management: Manage the complete lifecycle of data products from planning to delivery and refresh.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: At least 5 years in data product development and management, preferably in large, complex organizations.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in agile methodologies, data integration, and visualization.
- Education: Relevant degree in Business, IT, or related field is advantageous.
