Role Overview
As a Senior Product Manager at WP Engine, you will be a key leader within our platform team, responsible for guiding product managers and developing innovative product strategies. This role offers the autonomy to shape the future of our products and features, making a significant impact in the market.
What You Will Do
- Lead a team of product managers, ensuring they deliver their best every day.
- Own the overall product success within your team’s portfolio.
- Define, implement, and measure product and product manager success metrics.
- Collaborate with other leaders to form a comprehensive product offering.
- Discover and map business requirements to new products & features.
- Develop a product strategy and translate it into creative, high-quality features and initiatives.
- Guide product managers and other cross-functional leaders to focus investments in the right areas.
- Work closely with engineering teams to design, schedule, and deliver in an agile environment.
- Build solutions that reduce workload for our Customer Experience (CX) organization, while enabling customers with valuable self-service capabilities.
- Lead Program Management and Scrum teams towards the right priorities.
- Set clear expectations on projects, product launches, and coordinated release plans.
- Groom and prioritize your product backlog effectively by leading trade-off discussions with key partners.
- Use data to develop high-quality insights into the user experience.
Your Skills and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in a field with a strong emphasis on technology.
- 10+ years of experience in the technology industry in engineering and/or Product Management teams.
- 5+ years of experience directly leading product teams.
- Deep understanding of software development platforms, web platforms, databases, and/or software-defined infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills, able to effectively convey product features, technical designs, and product strategy to both technical and non-technical teams.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trust and rapport with internal and external partners.
