About the Role
As a Cyber Data Engineer in our Security Operations Team, you will play a crucial role in providing the visibility needed to monitor and protect the bank. This position involves designing and building data flow and storage solutions, as well as completing data collation, wrangling, analysis, and visualization of data sets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Build Solutions: Responsible for designing and building data flow and storage solutions.
- Data Management: Complete data collation, wrangling, analysis, and visualization of data sets.
- Leadership and Mentoring: Expand mentoring and coaching with more junior practitioners and contribute to architecture and technology strategies.
- Customer Focus: Monitor customer satisfaction and deliver customer-centric solutions.
- Continuous Improvement: Understand and support the need for change, adapting behaviors to changing circumstances.
- Problem Solving: Utilize a comprehensive understanding of problem-solving techniques.
- Technical Mastery: Build competency in your discipline and seek direction as required.
- Technology and Frameworks: Adopt strategic technologies and frameworks, assist in identifying and evaluating potential new technologies.
- Troubleshooting: Participate in troubleshooting for service recovery and provide ongoing support for platforms.
- Solution Design: Adopt a vision and plan for application-level solution design and architecture for the platform.
Required Skills and Experience
- Extensive experience in security services.
- Experience with Cloudera products like NiFi and MiniFi, and Apache Kafka.
- Functional understanding of scripting languages and automation (Python, JavaScript, PowerShell).
- Experience with Big Data Administration and ETL.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as CodeFresh, GitHub, and Bamboo.
- Cloud skills in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Experience with Splunk Enterprise Security.
