Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team in Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. This role is perfect for someone with a strong background in DevOps practices, particularly in automation and container orchestration. You will be responsible for building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and developing automation scripts to streamline our development, testing, and deployment processes.
Key Responsibilities
- CI/CD Pipelines: Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to automate development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Automation: Develop and implement automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency.
- Containerization: Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration, ensuring scalable and reliable application deployment.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Work with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, to manage and optimize infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
Required Skills
- DevOps Experience: Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Containerization: Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes.
- Automation Tools: Experience with Helm, Jenkins, Renovate, and Argocd.
- Programming: Strong skills in Python and familiarity with scripting languages like Bash.
- Software Development: Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, Spring (Boot), and Angular is advantageous.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with OpenShift in AWS Cloud environments.
- Familiarity with additional programming languages and scripting.
Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a combination of remote work and occasional on-site presence in Bonn or Frankfurt, approximately 1-2 times per month.
Contract Details
- Start Date: Immediate
- Hours: 120 hours per month
- End Date: December 31, 2024, with a planned extension
