Job Overview
Join Riverty as a Senior DevOps Engineer in our Automation & Containers team, where you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining hybrid-cloud infrastructures for RTL Deutschland. This position is based in Cologne, Germany, and offers a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities
- Develop and evolve existing and new hybrid-cloud infrastructures.
- Design, build, and configure CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure fast and smooth deployments across all stages in hybrid cloud environments.
- Manage containerization and virtualization of modern applications using Docker, Rancher, and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with various departments such as Channel Management and Engineering, as well as external customers and service providers.
- Actively participate in development processes and projects, taking full responsibility for the operational stability of our systems, which are in use 24/7.
Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in building CI/CD pipelines and deploying large software applications, preferably with Gitlab.
- Proficiency in software versioning, ideally with Git.
- Experience in configuring, administering, and automating Linux environments using Python and Shell-Scripting.
- Knowledge in automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience with hybrid cloud technologies such as Kubernetes is highly desirable.
- Fluent in both German and English.
- Excellent independent, structured, and team-oriented work style with strong communication skills.
