Senior Front End Software Engineer - Trading Systems

Clear Street is seeking a Senior Front End Software Engineer to join our Securities Finance Engineering team. This team is responsible for building trading platforms for various Securities Finance businesses, including Securities Lending, Repo, Agency Lending, and Delta 1. As a member of this team, you will have the unique opportunity to build large-scale, sophisticated trading systems on a modern and scalable technology stack from scratch.
Responsibilities
- Develop Web-Based Trading Interfaces: You will build highly efficient and intuitive web-based trading interfaces for our trading desk and external customers.
- Collaborate with Backend Engineers: Work closely with backend engineers to define the optimal API surface for your product.
- Monitor and Improve Products: Collect usage statistics on your products and improve them iteratively.
- Create End-to-End Tests: Develop end-to-end tests to validate UI functionality.
Skills and Experience
- 5+ Years of Experience: You should have over 5 years of experience building REACT-based front-ends.
- Dynamic Page Development: Experience building highly dynamic pages using SSEs/web sockets.
- Testing Frameworks: Experience writing front-end tests using Cypress or a similar framework.
Bonus Points
- Trading Systems Experience: Experience building trading systems is a plus.
- Rapid Product Iteration: Worked in an environment where you rapidly iterated your product with users.
- Product Development: Prior experience going from zero to one (building and rolling out a new product).
Compensation and Benefits
The base salary range for this role is €170,000 - €240,000. This range is representative of the starting base salaries for this role at Clear Street. The total compensation package includes company equity, 401k matching, gender-neutral parental leave, and full medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Work Environment
Clear Street values in-person collaboration and requires employees to be in the office 4 days per week. In-office benefits include lunch stipends, fully stocked kitchens, happy hours, a great location, and amazing views.
