The Role
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Clear Street, you will tackle important problems that underpin the financial system, handling tens of millions of trades per day. You will build highly available, scalable, mission-critical applications using a modern technology stack. This role involves working with users to understand and define new features and driving them to completion. You will develop a deep understanding of the business domain.
The Team
The mission of the Clear Street Broker-Dealer Clearing (BDC) team is to design the technology that enables the largest trading firms in the world to operate. We automate the processes that ensure trades happen: ensuring the details are correct, the money and assets change hands on time, and making sure that the risk is managed appropriately.

Our tech stack includes TypeScript, React, Redux, Kafka, Java, Go, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
Requirements
- 5 years minimum experience and strong proficiency with any programming language
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, such as algorithms and data structures
- High degree of self-motivation and willingness to jump into unfamiliar areas to solve problems
- Ability to work with stakeholders to develop new product ideas, design the technology to implement them, and see them through to completion
