Flow Traders is seeking a talented Senior Frontend Engineer to join our dynamic Frontend team in Amsterdam. About the Role
As a Senior Frontend Engineer at Flow Traders, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining applications that support the core business of the company. You will collaborate closely with Java developers to support a multitude of Electron and web-based applications, as well as develop new ones. Although your work won't be public for millions of users, a high standard is demanded by our teams in Amsterdam and other global offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Create visually appealing and responsive web applications.
- Optimize front-end apps for speed and efficiency.
- Conduct end-to-end tests to ensure application stability.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end and back-end systems.
Technologies We Use
- TypeScript, Electron, esbuild, and yarn for platform development.
- React and Tailwind for UI development.
- gRPC for connectivity.
- Bitbucket for code review.
- Bamboo for continuous integration.
- JIRA and Confluence for project management.
What You Need to Succeed
- 5+ years of experience in UI development.
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Informatics, or equivalent.
- Up-to-date knowledge of TypeScript, React, and CSS.
- General knowledge of Web and Node.js APIs.
- Proficiency with Git.
- Experience with basic Java/C++ back-end development is a plus.
- General knowledge of Electron and an understanding of gRPC/Protobuf is a plus.
- UI/UX design skills and proficiency with profiling tools are a plus.
