Overview
Join StoneX Group Inc. as a Senior Frontend Software Engineer specializing in React. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Kraków, Poland, with a hybrid work model requiring three days per week in the office. StoneX is a Fortune-100, Nasdaq-listed company connecting clients to global markets through innovation and world-class services.
Position Purpose
As a Senior Engineer at StoneX Payments, you will design, develop, and implement software applications that are key components of our platforms. You will work with React and TypeScript, exercising a high degree of independence and influence over architecture and tech stack decisions. Your role will involve delivering high-quality software aligned with customer needs and business goals, setting standards in a modern and distributed environment, and leading the frontend stack.
Responsibilities
- Execute the software development life cycle (SDLC) for the team, including estimating, analysis, code design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance.
- Implement engineering standards, best practices, and quality assurance procedures.
- Collaborate with product owners to understand product requirements and translate them into technical stories.
- Provide technical expertise to analyze complex requirements and break down features into tasks.
- Ensure the quality of applications and their alignment with technology and product goals.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve engineering processes and coding standards.
- Lead the execution of software solutions and ensure they work well in the operating environment.
- Participate in strategic implementation regarding technology solutions and platform architecture.
- Mentor and grow less experienced engineers.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, primarily in frontend or full-stack development.
- Proficiency in React, TypeScript, and unit testing.
- Experience with GraphQL and cloud providers such as Azure or AWS.
- Strong coding skills and experience in peer code reviews.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in a distributed Lean Agile Scrum Team.
- Experience in SaaS, Payments, FinTech, or E-commerce is a plus.
- Experience with Docker, .Net, and GitHub Actions is a plus.
Working Environment
This role is hybrid, with two days working from home and three days in the office located at St. Mogilska 35, Kraków.
