Position Overview
The Senior Full Stack Developer at CharacterStrong will blend technical skills with creative problem-solving to develop and enhance digital curriculum and resources. This role is crucial in creating web applications that deliver impactful educational content, focusing on collaborative development, code efficiency, and responsive design. The developer will play a key role in advancing the company’s technological capabilities, ensuring that digital offerings meet the evolving needs of educators and students in a dynamic educational landscape.
Responsibilities
- Write efficient code and utilize best practices for development.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues to develop and deploy content within established timelines.
- Research different software programs and maintain software documentation.
- Implement contingency plans for website downtime.
- Maintain and expand websites, enhancing functionality and user experience.
- Collaborate with the product team on design decisions and feature implementations.
- Review other developers' code to ensure maintainability and prevent regressions.
- Develop automated tests to ensure application reliability.
- Optimize tooling for the best developer experience.
- Develop functional and appealing web and mobile-based applications.
- Enforce code quality through documentation and bug resolution.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and promote usability best practices.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge and experience with web development skills including REST APIs, React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, Serverless Technology, and more.
- Proficiency in cross-browser, cross-platform, and cross-device compatibility.
- Experience with modern web accessibility and ADA compliance.
- Strong understanding of UX and HCI methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, with over 5 years of relevant experience.
Salary & Benefits
- Annual salary range: $100,000 - $125,000, based on experience.
