About the Role
Brightwheel is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and enhancing our platform, which is the leading solution for early education. You will work closely with product and design teams to deliver features that meet the needs of teachers, parents, and administrators.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to implement new features and optimize software design.
- Enhance user interfaces and address technical debt to improve the operational side of our platform.
- Operate in an agile environment to quickly deliver value to our go-to-market teams.
- Understand customer needs to deliver effective software solutions.
- Ensure quality, scalability, security, and performance of the platform.
- Design new software systems or introduce new technologies to support brightwheel’s growth.
- Share knowledge and expertise across the engineering team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in agile environments.
- Experience with backend frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Python/Django, or Golang.
- Proficiency in designing and optimizing APIs.
- Experience with frontend frameworks like React or Angular.
- Experience writing automated tests (unit, integration, & e2e).
