About the Role
As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer at Parabola, you will be a pivotal member of our engineering team, driving the development of greenfield features and reinforcing our technical foundation. You will work with a unique flow-based calculation engine that demonstrates high throughput and availability.
Responsibilities
- Partner with product managers and designers to implement new product functionality from start to finish.
- Collaborate with a small but mighty group of engineers with diverse backgrounds and expertise.
- Consult with the Customer Experience team to solve unique customer problems and identify areas for product growth.
- Write and maintain code in Python, React, and Redux within a mature TypeScript codebase.
- Build and extend our core platform, from database schema to API design.
- Implement the logic behind the steps that make up Parabola flows.
- Optimize our services for scalability, stability, and observability as our customer base grows and our product becomes more sophisticated.
- Help define processes and practices that will serve us for years of growth and success.
What You'll Need
- 3+ years of full-stack experience in a team-based, high-uptime, continuously-delivered codebase.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
- Dedication to the craft of engineering with a focus on stability, security, and maintainability.
- Experience with relational databases, REST APIs, and OOP principles.

This role is based in our San Francisco or New York office, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring about 3 days a week on-site.
