About the Role

American Express is seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Engineer with expertise in JavaScript and Python to join our Cyber Data Engineering & Products organization. This role involves developing and maintaining both front-end and back-end components of our web applications and data products. You will be instrumental in delivering solutions that support major functions within the Technology Risk & Information Security organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using JavaScript and Python.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to support front-end functionality and backend data engineering pipelines.
• Collaborate with the development team to define and implement CI/CD pipelines.
• Utilize Git for version control and participate in code reviews.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of software development experience in a professional environment with a background in Information Security.
• Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong experience with Python frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Experience with relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Experience working with document stores such as Elasticsearch.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Github Actions).
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and testing skills for enterprise-grade software solutions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

Salary

The salary range for this position is €85,000 to €150,000 annually, plus bonus and benefits. The final offer will depend on your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
