Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails, React)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Brooklyn, New York. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be instrumental in building and shipping product features from end to end. This role requires a strong proficiency in both backend and frontend technologies, with a particular focus on Ruby on Rails and React.

Key Responsibilities

• Feature Development: Develop new features and fix bugs to ensure the reliable and rapid delivery of high-quality code.
• Collaboration: Work closely with product and design teams to translate Figma designs into fully functional and scalable features.
• Backend Development: Design database schemas, create migrations, models, and validations, and deliver robust APIs that are well-tested and bug-free.
• Frontend Development: Implement detailed designs using React and TypeScript, focusing on building responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Data Management: Manage the data layer for the frontend, ensuring seamless data fetching and state management, all while maintaining a focus on performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Required:

  • Experience with TypeScript
  • Experience with React
  • Experience with Next.js and Vercel
  • Experience working on real applications

• Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Ruby / Rails
  • Experience working on high-quality consumer products
  • Experience building comprehensive side projects from 0-to-1
  • Experience working at a startup
