Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails, React)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in Brooklyn, New York. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be instrumental in building and shipping product features from end to end. This role requires a strong proficiency in both backend and frontend technologies, with a particular focus on Ruby on Rails and React.

Key Responsibilities

Feature Development: Develop new features and fix bugs to ensure the reliable and rapid delivery of high-quality code.
Collaboration: Work closely with product and design teams to translate Figma designs into fully functional and scalable features.
Backend Development: Design database schemas, create migrations, models, and validations, and deliver robust APIs that are well-tested and bug-free.
Frontend Development: Implement detailed designs using React and TypeScript, focusing on building responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
Data Management: Manage the data layer for the frontend, ensuring seamless data fetching and state management, all while maintaining a focus on performance and reliability.

Qualifications

Required:
- Experience with TypeScript
- Experience with React
- Experience with Next.js and Vercel
- Experience working on real applications
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Ruby / Rails
- Experience working on high-quality consumer products
- Experience building comprehensive side projects from 0-to-1
- Experience working at a startup
