About the Role
As a Growth Engineer, you’ll be responsible for helping us build bots that automate growth strategies to significantly impact the company’s top-line metrics. You will work closely with the Partnerships, Account Management, and Growth Marketing teams. You will be the go-to person for writing scripts and building bots!
The breadth of projects is wide, as we will work on any project necessary to grow us faster. Some sample growth team projects include tools that help onboard more creators, bots that help increase the supply on Whop, and simple data-feed bots (think Discord bots) rebuilt as Whop Apps. You’ll be the person who builds bots and new tools that allow us to experiment with new strategies and scale existing strategies quickly.
Your First 90 Days
- Within 30 days: Kick off your first scraping project.
- Within 60 days: Continue maintaining your scraping projects while also starting to build mini Whop apps (think simple Discord bots but as Whop apps).
- Within 90 days: Build multiple bots, scrapers, and Whop Apps that drive new creator growth!
Who You Are
- You have 3+ years of software engineering experience in high-growth environments.
- You are well-versed in Python and JavaScript.
- You’ve built tons of Discord bots and large-scale bots.
- You have excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- You can work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- You are highly resourceful and able to thrive in a competitive, fast-changing landscape.
