Overview
As a Senior Rails Engineer at Hemster, Inc., you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our technology stack. You will work remotely, collaborating with a dynamic team to design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications. Your expertise in Ruby on Rails and React is crucial for driving our product development forward.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails and React.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to implement new features and enhancements.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to best practices.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Ruby on Rails.
- Proficiency in React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Skilled in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
- Knowledge of AWS deployment, CI/CD pipelines, and tools.
- Background in test-driven development (TDD) and continuous integration.
