Senior Data Scientist - Rome
About the Role
KPMG Italy is seeking a talented Senior Data Scientist to join their Lighthouse team in Rome. This role focuses on delivering cutting-edge technology solutions, including advanced analytics and artificial intelligence algorithms across various industries. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Generative AI.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Integration: Identify and process important data sources to support data-driven tools and methodologies.
- Modeling: Develop and adapt artificial intelligence models to address specific business requirements.
- Advanced Analytics Platforms: Build complete machine learning pipelines from data ingestion to frontend applications.
- Business Communication: Share project details with business users to build trust and explain methodologies.
- Team Development: Mentor new team members to enhance their skills and growth as Data Scientists and MLOps Engineers.

- Programming Languages: Python, PySpark
- Libraries and Frameworks: NLTK, SpaCy, Keras, PyTorch
- Generative AI: OpenAI, Claude, Hugging Face models

Ideal Candidate
- Proficient in Python
- Good knowledge of designing and organizing a data model
- Ability to represent results graphically
- Good cloud knowledge
- Advanced English proficiency
- At least 3 years of experience working on advanced analytics projects
