Job Overview
KPMG Hungary is seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer with a focus on Machine Learning to join our dynamic team in Budapest. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing robust software solutions. Your primary focus will be on building and optimizing scalable backend systems to support our corporate applications, with an emphasis on developing backend solutions for business-related Data Science applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and Implement Backend Solutions: Design and develop scalable backend systems using .NET technologies, focusing on Web APIs, Entity Framework, and unit testing with mocking.
- Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams: Work closely with developers, data scientists, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure that our products meet the requirements of our clients.
- Incorporate AI/ML Solutions: Integrate AI/ML solutions into products and applications, ensuring they are state-of-the-art.
- Mentorship and Guidance: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of ongoing learning and creativity within the team.
- Client Communication: Communicate openly with clients to fully grasp their business goals and convert them into technical specifications.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3-4 years of expertise in .NET Development, with working experience in .NET 6 or newer versions.
- Technical Skills: Excellent development skills in C#, good working knowledge of database development (preferably with Azure SQL), microservice architecture, and domain-driven design.
- Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of at least one cloud platform (Azure / GCP / AWS).
- Languages: Fluent in English and Hungarian.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Python backend development (Django, FastAPI).
- Experience with developing applications built around data science solutions.
- Familiarity with React and Typescript.
